This is the weekend that everyone has been excited about. Twilight, a movie passed on by every major studio and propelled by one of the best integrated marketing and PR campaign, finally bows. To make matters more intriguing, Twilight competes with a standard Disney (read: studio) family movie, Bolt. It's looking like the marketing machine behind Twilight will take this thing by long shot (they even got "South Park" to spoof the franchise, putting it up there with High School Musical, Oceans 11, and Obama- all major successes).
I would look for Twilight to still exceed expectations, and do this weekend with $65 Million - even frat boys have been talking about it. Bolt I'll put at $31 million due to the domination of Twilight. Summit Entertainment has really made their name with this one.
